It’s a terrible thing to behold in our country. There is no excuse for violence in any society. I don’t care if you don’t agree with someone, you do not use violence against them.

This country..... sigh ..... All reports are about this at the moment, but on this SAME day, children were shot and murdered in school, and I don't see any big stories about it. THIS to me is so sad and sick. WHY doesn't this country VALUE their children. :''(

I've been thinking lately that something like this might be a 'set up' so that Trump can take the guns away from gun owners. I'm now hearing & reading that he's dead. That would be Trump's excuse if he intends on doing that. I guess we'll see.

I do have compassion for Kirk's family. But I can't help but reflect on Trump's stochastic terrorism. It's despicable.

Charlie Kirk was waist deep in fascism. Real life and death consequences for millions of Americans. His death like his life will incite more violence.

I've just read that the suspect they thought did it, did not shoot him.

They're Still Looking for the shooter......

Oh, Miles, you need a gun to defend yourself and your family because other people have guns. If no-one had guns you could defend yourself in ways that wouldn’t have to kill.

trump & all of his right wingers are blaming Democrats. Democrats however all decried violence. Look at the politicians who’ve been the subject of violence & so far they’ve all been far right trump supporters. It’s the only thing online & legacy news. There was another school shooting. No one is talking about that. How murders will finally be enough for our government to stand up to the non profit NRA & the millions of dollars they throw at all those Congress? We have more gun deaths than all other countries. What’s wrong with people?

I do not condone violence. I cannot rejoice in this. But what gives me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach is the fear that Trump will use this event to justify martial law. It’s okay to assassinate a Democrat, it’s okay to murder children, but this could be the incident that gives him the excuse he’s been looking for.

Thank you for holding a space for free expression at this tenuous moment in our history.

It’s important, especially with emotions running so high.

There is a "person of interest" now in custody, per CNN. This is a disgusting act of violence.
