For more on the diversion of funds, Rachel Maddow talks about why those funds for maintaining old nuclear weapons silos that house nuclear missiles is so needed. Another way that Trump can make us all less safe while he steals from us. Later she talks about recent plane near-misses and the FAA downsizing, then good words and an interview of Roy Cooper (D), former governor of North Carolina now running for US Senate.
“This is not a time to be depressed…it is a time to be determined.” That is an incredibly wise statement, and one we should be sharing with others. As a psychotherapist, I know all the strategies involved in staying grounded and optimistic. But I have my days. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for people who are already struggling with a variety of emotional responses and mental health issues. The message we can all share is, “you are not alone.” Let’s talk with each other, gather together to protest (the next national protest is this Saturday, August 2nd), work in our local democratic office when time permits. For me, my very progressive church is another source of refuge and strength. Do anything, just don’t isolate yourself!
Loved this trifecta discussion. Hope we see this more often. As always, great insights. Thank you!
Great reporting Jim. Y thanks for helping us. We cannot afford to be exhausted. Trump must go and we got to regain Congress.
