Treating those exercising their First Amendment rights to speak or print or post whatever is on their minds is an affront to American constitutional rights like no other time in our history. It goes extremely well beyond the 1798 Sedition Act or the Espionage Act of 1917 or its sedition amendments a year later. Critics of the president or any of his minions will likely mean deep trouble and costly heartache. In fact, my heart aches for America.
