MSM is not fulfilling its responsibility to cover the national security implications of the actions being taken - and not taken - by this administration. I think (hope?) the level of alarm across the general public would be substantially elevated if folks were presented with honest, compelling risk analyses (probability, impact, ability to foresee / mitigate / recover, etc.) that illustrates what each of us could face (medical info being held for ransom, power grid sabotage, nuclear 'accidents,' terrorism, including chemical and bio weapons, economic collapse, telecom disruption, natural disasters, large-scale identity theft, et al) if we don't get real serious real fast.
I understand there are details that would have to remain secret, but isn't it time to start letting the populace know about the myriad catastrophes that have been averted over the last 50--80 years because we had competent, conscientious, qualified professionals in government?
I'm the first to criticize the use of fear to control people, but we need a wake-up call. And we needed it yesterday.
