To be very clear, Kimmel and Colbert are not the real targets though they both suffered the consequences of the desires of corporate America in ways outlined by John Kenneth Galbraith in his 1967 book, The New Industrial State (Galbraith was a Harvard economics professor).
The real targets are the corporations that need FCC approval of two mergers involving CBS’s owner to approve the merger of Paramount with Skydance and ABC’s owner to approve the merger of Nexstar Media Group with Tegna Inc.
The result is growing censorship of those media companies that hold FCC broadcast licenses. It’s a coordinated attack on media by a thousand cuts.
