What’s worse isn’t just the canceling of the show, it’s the billionaire class that is purchasing all of our social media and corporate media sites. Larry Ellison is buying TikTok and will complete the trifecta of pro-Trump billionaires controlling all of social media. With algorithms designed to trigger and manipulate people, we’re in a for a very bumpy ride.
In addition, his son David led the purchase of Skydance over Paramount, picking up CBS and giving Bari Weiss, another right-wing apologist in a high position at CBS News editorial control. Not to mention, David is agreeing to put a monitor in place at CBS News and in their entertainment division to make sure they are fair and balanced. What could possibly go wrong?
Furthermore, David is in the process of bidding for Warner Brothers which owns Discovery and CNN, making it another media outlet positioned to be Trump friendly.
Once these mergers are complete, who knows, will video’s of police and ICE brutality be either suppressed under the oligarchs? Will they use their power and control over information to stifle speech? Will they be spying on all of us to target and arrest dissidents? All possible outcomes, which should scare the bejesus out of all of us.
Bottom line: Trump is signing an Executive Order today labeling ANTIFA as a domestic terrorist organization. It’s illegal, but who’s going to enforce the law; Bondi? Patel?
Additionally, the EO is broad, and since ANTIFA is just an ideology, with no leadership; whose mission is to fight fascism, there’s a method to this madness. Trump is trying to outlaw all opposition to his fascist regime, including the people who fund these organizations. Perhaps the ACLU will be labeled ANTIFA , we just don’t know how far down this rabbit hole he will take us. However, if he goes after NGO’s like the ACLU, he could go after anyone who donates to them; which might be the point; self censorship.
What we do know however, is Trump and his minions have completed their inside Coup, and we have no one left to save us since he controls all law enforcement mechanisms federally, the courts, and more than half the states are complicit, making any opposition almost impossible.
I say almost because our last chance will be the midterms and he will do his damndest to cheat or refuse to seat the opposition claiming fraud.
Sadly, I’m not even sure what the MSM will be reporting anymore; they’ve already caved in their Ukraine and the Israel/Gaza coverage, and who knows whether they’ll even cover and cheating during the election, which should give us all pause. IMHO….:)
